Job description

Strafe Creative is launching a junior web developer scheme to help develop new and passionate talent. Our aim is to provide you with a well-rounded education on all things development, enabling you to climb the career ladder and expand your skills for the future.

Whether your passion is for front-end, back-end or a particular language such as PHP or Javascript, our experienced team has a wealth of internal knowledge that you can learn from - helping you to build your skillset and confidence.

As a junior, you'll be supported with a one to two years accelerated learning experience, working on challenging yet exciting projects that are crucial to our growth. To help you reach your full potential, we’ll provide a truly supportive working environment. You'll be able to benefit from working alongside our knowledgeable development team and you will be assigned a dedicated mentor to help you progress quickly.

In return, we hope to see you passionately and proactively work to improve your skills. As an organisation we are open and honest, so you'll always be given transparent and constructive feedback and we're looking for someone who will gladly receive that feedback to support their progression and personal development.

As an entry-level role, we'll be building the foundations and knowledge you need for a successful career. Once you’ve got to grips with the basics, this is an awesome stepping stone to progress into more specialist roles.

Job requirements

So, the role? Join us as a Junior Developer and demonstrate your passion for building engaging digital experiences that match our own. We know you might not have a lot of experience, so this is the perfect opportunity to join a programme which will help develop your skills over the coming years. To start with, you’ll be working on smaller projects; supporting those projects that we have already launched via website maintenance and ongoing pieces of work.

Over time you’ll grow into a more senior position. Your future role will be to build, maintain and deploy robust, resilient online products, which look fantastic and also perform well. The ideal candidate should have a meticulous eye for detail whilst producing well-structured and documented code.

Working with our team of UX Designers, Motion Designers and other Developers, you'll collaborate daily to realise innovative and imaginative designs across a wide range of industries. You’ll be able to get involved in a variety of projects and interact with globally based customers too.

As part of the role, you'll have regular code reviews, evaluations and feedback to ensure rapid growth in your skill sets. You'll also have access to a variety of training videos, courses and online content to enhance your skills.

We hope that the right applicant will show initiative and a passion to learn even if they may have limited experience. This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading, award-winning agency in our development scheme and we can’t wait to hear from you!

Salary
Based on experience, the starting salary will be up to £25k. (Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK)
